Panoramic Route by Electric Bicycle

Description

This circuit offers a variety of viewing points and different possible excursions. The highlight of this route is the magnificent view from the Gempen Tower.

The tour begins in the charming village of Liestal and firstly heads to Nuglar. Here, a first stop at the old distillery is a must. Continue on to the town of Gempen, from where you can climb its tower to enjoy a magnificent view of the Baselbiet, Alsace, the Vosges, but also Basel and the Black Forest. The route crosses the picturesque high plateau of Gempen, towards Seewen. The Seewen Museum of Music Automatons is known for its extensive collection of Swiss music boxes and various music automata dating back three centuries. After refreshments at a restaurant, the route continues towards Reigoldswil. A cable-car ride takes you to the heart of the adventures in the Jura heights. The picturesque landscape between Titterten, Arboldswil and Lampenberg is interspersed with characteristic village centres. Wildenstein Castle with its oak forest is the last highlight, before the trail leads back to the old town of Liestal.
