Discovering Nature Around Kandern

Description

Explore nature by bike and enjoy the beautiful hilly terrain of the Markgräflerland. From Kandern, the route takes you to the Sitzenkirch region first, at the foot of the Sausenburg ruins. The old convent church and the old mill wheel offer you a moment of relaxation. From the St. Johannisbreite Pass there is a breathtaking view over the Eggen Valley and the Rhine plain, up to France. The spectacle is amazing in spring, when the cherry trees blossom. It continues to Feldberg and passes through Obereggenen. A detour to the baroque castle of Bürgeln and its beautiful rose garden is a must. Liel and Riedlingen are on the return trip.
