At the Foot of the Vineyards
In the south-west of Germany, moving away from the Rhine and its plain, beautiful trails lead you through the vineyards of the Markgräflerland in the foothills of the southern Black Forest. You can discover picturesque landscapes, where fertile soils give way to orchards and vineyards, with the silhouette of the Black Forest’s massifs in the background.
This wine-growing region, rich in history and renowned for the quality of its grape varieties, can be visited both on foot and by bicycle!
The cultivation of vines has also long been rooted in north-western Switzerland, and a bike ride through the vineyards of Baselland shows that the grapes grown here are the base for quality wines.
